Belal (our driver on the left) and Edral (our guide on the right) having breakfast on the hotel terrace.
This morning we drove along the coast...
to the small town of Üçağiz with a great marina.
There we caught a boat for a cruise of Kekova Bay.
We could see more Lycian tombs at various places among the hills.
Views of Kekova Bay above on the drive in.
First stop was the hillside village of Kalekoy...
where we took a hike up to the crusader's castle of Simena.
There were great views of the harbor and the bay from the castle.
Nearby were more Lycian tombs strung along the hilltop.
Once back in the village we explored along the waterfront and found the Lycian tomb in the bay. This tomb is featured on many tourist photos of Turkey.

and some could be seen in the clear waters.
It was rather eerie to see stairs descending into the sea.
We stopped at a nearby cove on the island for lunch. There was the remains of a church and the boat houses where boats were repaired.

On the way back to the hotel we saw many more green houses...
and we drove down into Kas, the nearby town. The waterfront area was rather lively and lots of boats in the harbor
and shops and café’s along the waterfront.
There was another Lycian tomb in the middle of one of the streets.
While eating some ice cream and vegging in the shade of a tree we saw a woman who looked much like one of Paul’s sisters-in-law.
We were back in the hotel late afternoon where we had dinner.
There were lovely
views of the nearby village of Kalkan at night.
